I was so excited to get to open the boxes that came to my school with the things that I often would have to buy with my own personal money. \r\n\r\nThings like packing tape and sharpies are used so often! Already, in just this first 2 weeks of school, I've used the packing tape to tape login codes for accessing sites on their iPads easily and straws for keeping pencils handy right onto their desks. The Sharpie markers help me create engaging anchor charts to hang that remind them of the things we are learning each day. \r\n\r\nThe bulletin board borders really brighten up the room that we spend so many hours per day in. \r\n\r\nMy kids enjoy a \"soft start\" each morning as they arrive by having the chance to play with toys that stimulate their creativity and give them the opportunity to socialize and share with each other in the process. The magnetic building blocks and the little stacking toys have been well loved by everyone already this year! \r\n\r\nThe headphones have already come in handy, since a child had their pair break right in the middle of their online testing. It was so nice to have a set of extras available! \r\n\r\nI'll share a few pictures to show you how I've used the donated items so far this year.
