During a play, it can be difficult for players to see everything that is happening around them. Bird's eye footage allows our athletes to step back and see the entire field. They can observe how plays develop, where players are positioned, how teammates communicate, and how individual decisions affect the outcome of each play.\r\n\r\nOne of the most valuable benefits is that our players can learn directly from their own performances. During film sessions, we can pause plays, review important moments, and talk through different decisions. Players are able to see what they did well and identify areas where they can improve. Instead of simply being told what happened, they can visually understand the situation and think about what they would do differently next time.\r\n\r\nThe footage has also helped our players better understand the importance of teamwork. Football requires every player to do their job and trust the players around them. Watching the game from above allows our athletes to see how their responsibilities connect with the responsibilities of their teammates. They can recognize how one successful block, route, defensive assignment, or adjustment can help the entire team succeed.\r\n\r\nOur players enjoy watching the footage because it gives them an opportunity to see themselves in action. It creates conversations among teammates and coaches and encourages our athletes to ask questions and take responsibility for their development. These discussions help them become more knowledgeable and confident players while also teaching valuable skills such as communication, accountability, critical thinking, and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the season, we will use the bird's eye footage to review games, prepare for upcoming opponents, and improve our practices.
