The items that I have received have saved me so much money from not having to spend it out of pocket! The classroom scissor set has been so helpful whenever I have a project for my students and they need to use scissors. The classroom trays have been so great to have as turn in bins and any other loose papers I need to store in them! The headphones have come in handy so well because every year the students need headphones and while some students bring there own the majority of the class always needs them so I am super happy that I was able to get those donated. I also color coded them so they match the rest of there supplies! \r\nThe whiteboards were the best gift ever! Students always need whiteboards and since this was a pack of 30 I have extra in case I get more students! The markers and the erasers were all super helpful too and also prevented me from having to buy a bunch of markers. I also love that these whiteboards are double sided because in 3rd grade we use both sides a lot for various things! The last thing I got was the bulk 300 pack of pre sharpened pencils! It is every teachers dream to have that many pencils and not have to worry about constantly asking or buying pencils! The cards help me keep track of the books as they check them out. This helped greatly while I was out on FMLA. Percy Jackson is already being passed around the room, and one student told me, \"I can't put this one down!\" The Geronimo Stilton series has my kids giggling during silent reading time, and the Who Is... nonfiction books have sparked a lot of curiosity—students keep asking me who we'll read about next!\r\n\r\nThe calming lamps throughout the classroom have also been a favorite, giving students a cozy, safe space to reset before jumping back into learning in the general curriculum classroom. Altogether, these resources have transformed our classroom into a more welcoming, interactive, and exciting place to learn every day. My students spend a lot of time in my classroom and are there 7 days a week so having a classroom that felt comfy and cozy to me was very important. The students love the Big Joe comfy chairs and I love that I was able to create a reading nook/library. That was one of my goals this year was to have an actual spot for my kids to want to read books in a nice calm area. I have also enjoyed the magnets and big tic tac toes/checkers rug board that I got. My students love playing with the items for indoor recess. The markers that i got are my absolute favorite and the students as well. The Mr. Sketch markers makes everything more vibrant and my students love the smell. We put the markers to great use when in November we had to decorate a big Turkey for our Turkey Trot that we did. They also used the markers when we did a disguise a turkey to make it look like something else. In all I am so thankful for knowing about Donors Choose and that I was able to get my classroom some much needed items! I hope to do it again for years to come!
