I am writing to extend my heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for your generous contributions to my classroom project. Thanks to your support, my math classroom has been significantly enhanced with a new office chair, personal whiteboards, dry erase markers, and protractors—all of which have already begun to make a meaningful difference in our daily learning experience.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I always strive to create a space where students feel engaged, supported, and equipped with the tools they need to succeed. Your donation has helped bring that vision closer to reality. The addition of a high-quality office chair may seem small, but it has had a surprisingly large impact on my day-to-day teaching. As many educators know, we spend long hours at our desks planning, grading, and supporting students. Having a comfortable, ergonomic chair has made those long hours more manageable and physically sustainable, allowing me to focus more energy on my students rather than on physical discomfort.\r\n\r\nThe personal whiteboards and dry erase markers have transformed our classroom environment into a more dynamic and interactive space. Now, during lessons, each student has the opportunity to engage with the material in a hands-on way. Instead of simply observing me solve problems on the board, students can work through problems themselves, show their thinking, and receive immediate feedback. This has especially helped my more shy or hesitant students participate more actively, as they feel safer writing down their answers on their boards rather than speaking up in front of the entire class. It has also made formative assessment much quicker and more effective, as I can instantly scan the room and identify who understands the concept and who may need additional support.\r\n\r\nThe protractors have been incredibly helpful in our recent geometry units. Prior to your donation, we had a very limited supply, which meant students had to share or wait for their turn. This often disrupted the flow of lessons and caused some frustration. Now, every student can actively participate in measuring and constructing angles without interruption. This hands-on experience not only reinforces their understanding of geometry but also builds their confidence in using mathematical tools—a skill that will serve them well beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nBeyond the physical items, your donation represents something much deeper. It sends a message to my students that there are people out there—people they've never met—who believe in their potential and are willing to invest in their success. That kind of encouragement is powerful. It builds a sense of community and shows my students that they are supported not just within the walls of our school, but by a wider network of caring individuals.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and belief in the power of education. Your donation has made a lasting impact in our classroom, and we are truly grateful. I look forward to continuing to share with you the growth and achievements your support has helped make possible.","fullyFundedDate":1743636449734,"projectUrl":"project/math-classroom-tools/9147027/","projectTitle":"Math Classroom Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGovran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8316347_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y60&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741293655832","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8316347"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_86491","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":13,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":22,"gradesServed":"3 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":76.4,"schoolId":86491,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Collins Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Collins Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/bristow-public-school-district/collins-elementary-school/86491"}
