Every year, we learn how to write informative papers. I give my students the freedom to explore topics that hold meaning to them. Unfortunately, there are too many occasions where we cannot find any reference books in the library about a specific topic. I have been slowly building my own class library over the last 2 years. I would love to add more books for my students to explore as we learn about informative writing. I love watching my kids learn through books in their hands in place of Google. There is something magical about scouring the pages to find the information they need, and (more likely) the information that they didn't even know that they needed. We also need a bookcase to house our new books.
