We received our headphones within a few weeks of funding. These high quality headphones have been such a big hit with students in my math intervention group. The students were thrilled to know that so many people supported them and helped fund our project.\r\n\r\nThe colorful set of headphones is always available for math intervention class, during which time students use them to complete independent math lessons that support remediation or enrichment. A partner teacher purchased a holder for the headphones and we numbered them for ready use. Any time a student has forgotten or lost their own headphones, they are able to request and use a set from the Donor's Choose set. The availability has created a bit of peace for some students who are unable to provide their own high quality headphones. One student commented, \"That's really cool that people helped us get those!\"\r\n\r\nHaving the headphones available is particularly important since digital learning requiring a listening device is a part of almost every class. Students who need headphones are able to carry them with them throughout the day if digital learning is a part of another class that day. Also, the set is very useful when whole classes take computerized tests that require headphones. Teachers who administer these tests have even commented on the high quality set and the value in having these available.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and colleagues, I thank you again for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1727103469578,"projectUrl":"project/lets-hear-it-for-headphones/8806954/","projectTitle":"Let’s Hear It for Headphones!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Duhe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9768767"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17997","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":216,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":73,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"3 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":31.4,"schoolId":17997,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cohn Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cohn Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/west-baton-rouge-parish-school-district/cohn-elementary-school/17997"}
