Because our students have an extended school day, having snacks and refreshments available has given them a much-needed opportunity to recharge before giving their full energy and focus at rehearsal. When students first saw the materials donated, they were excited and grateful to know that members of the community were supporting them and believing in their efforts to put together our school's first licensed musical production. Their excitement created an even stronger sense of pride and teamwork among the cast and crew.\r\n\r\nAs we approached show week, students stayed after school three days in a row for hour-long rehearsals in preparation for the performances. They had been working on the production since October, and in May, they successfully performed three sold-out shows of The Addams Family (Young@Part). During performance days, many students experienced 12-hour days at school for the very first time, showing incredible dedication and perseverance.
