I saw the kids blossom right along with their little seedlings. From sharing the idea to implementation through the final product, kids were engaged and loving their learning the whole way.\r\n\r\nThis project helped us to learn about our science curriculum, practice cross-curricular skills, and share love with people who care for us. Each moment was more impactful than the last. Each day the kids ran into the room to check the progress of their seed babies and took patient care of them. They thoughtfully decorated their pots to share with their caretakers, and we planted and cared for our extra seeds so we can add them to our school garden in the coming weeks. My students truly enjoy sitting in different areas of the classroom in a cozy environment. They are more focused and comfortable. The foldable chairs are a hit and we give one another chances to sit in them. They love Esperanza Rising and we will be reading A Long Walk to Water soon after the holiday recess. Having newer books to read has been very nice. Each student has their own copy of the book and they love coding the text with post-it notes to monitor their own comprehension. I've allowed them to take their older books home to use when they need to catch up with the work at home. This has been valuable in holding everyone accountable for their learning. Thank you!!!
