One of my favorite moments was watching my students use the new materials to retell a story we read together. They were so proud to create their own pages and present their work to the class. It truly turned learning into something hands-on and exciting.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They were especially thrilled about the art supplies and our new cozy rug. The rug has quickly become a favorite spot during independent reading time, where students can relax and enjoy books in a comfortable space. I've noticed that students are more engaged, more willing to write and create, and more confident in sharing their thinking. These materials have helped make our classroom feel even more welcoming, organized, and inspiring.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these resources to support our reading and writing lessons, especially as we work on storytelling, sequencing, and expressing ideas through both words and creativity. Students will be creating more projects that connect reading with art, while also building independence during centers. During our small group reading time, students have been using the voice recording buttons to practice their fluency. One of my students, who is usually very quiet, lit up when he got to record himself reading and then play it back. He smiled and said, \"That's me reading!\" It was such a powerful moment because he was proud of himself, and that confidence carried into the rest of the lesson.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the mesh bags daily to keep materials organized, and it has helped build responsibility in my classroom. Students know exactly where their materials are, and transitions have become smoother. When we introduced the materials, they were immediately engaged, especially with the hands-on math tools. They love working with numbers in a way that feels like play, and I've noticed more students participating and taking risks during lessons.\r\n\r\nNext, we are continuing to build on these skills by integrating the materials into our literacy centers and math rotations. Students will be working on retelling stories using sentence strips and building their number sense through hands-on activities that focus on equality and problem solving. We also had so much fun using the crinkle scissors to create festive Christmas projects, which helped strengthen fine motor skills while letting students be creative. The glitter pens and rolling chair are part of our \"Teacher Jr. of the Week\" reward, giving students a chance to feel special and take on leadership roles in the classroom.\r\nThey were so excited! Their faces lit up when they saw the glitter pens and scissors, and they couldn't wait to use them. The rolling chair quickly became a favorite and made our Teacher Jr. of the Week feel extra important. My student have struggled with this new idea, but once I brought in a place value chart with color to show the different values, it clicked for them! Students will use the paints and craft materials to design models, create artwork connected to our science lessons, and complete hands-on activities that allow them to express their learning in creative ways.\r\n\r\nNext up, students will be starting a project where they design and decorate their own mini planter pots while learning about plant life cycles.
