The kiddos were excited to see all of our new learning tools and were eager to begin using them to demonstrate and create.\r\n\r\nMost notably, the table materials have been both a huge hit and a useful tool for the students. Each group has access to color pencils, sharpeners, glue sticks and scissors for all their day to day activities such as note-taking and independent practice.\r\n\r\nAnother group favorite have been the white boards and dry erase markers/erasers. We use the boards almost daily to monitor our comprehension during whole group lessons at the carpet. It has been a great resource for students to practice writing in short bursts to help develop their language and grammar all while practicing reading skills.\r\n\r\nAgain, we are grateful to you and your contributions and look forward to continuing to use our materials as we head into the end of our first semester.","fullyFundedDate":1754412052432,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-are-essential-to-lear/9508081/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies Are Essential to Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5767483_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753731327483","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5767483"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16943","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":561,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":75,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"10.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":16943,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Chambers Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Chambers Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/alief-independent-school-district/chambers-elementary-school/16943"}
