Since many of our students fish on a regular basis, we were able to draw some connections to our real life experiences.\r\n\r\nAt first we made basic black prints onto rice paper. We then built onto this method by making colorful prints of our fish. We talked about the details of fish anatomy. Eventually we added details and used our colorful fish prints in an underwater collage. \r\n\r\nOur students were so excited to learn about different types of fish, and come to class and share the types of fish they had recently caught. They were also so excited to see each other's prints and collages and cheered each other on as we peeled back our papers from our fish to reveal the beautiful prints.\r\n\r\nThis was a lesson that will stick with my students for many years to come! Thank you for giving my students this amazing lesson.
