The Iliad Graphic Novel proved to be an extremely valuable tool as we were going through our unit on Greece. The students really got into the characters presented and would anticipate what was going to happen to them in upcoming lessons. \r\n\r\n The idea behind studying the Iliad was to analyze its impact on Greek culture and it did exactly that. It increased the students interest in Grecian politics and wars that we covered. I am excited to get to use these books again next year! \r\n\r\nIt was also so exciting for my students to see the microphones come in. My sociology students pulled some of them out of the boxes to practice with for a sociology project. We ended up doing some practicing with them to see the best way to use them in the classroom and our first big project with them is going to be in World History in February. My students will be doing a Black History Around the World Project and I am so excited to take the rest of the microphones out of their boxes and tell the students that they'll get to do podcasts along with their project. \r\n\r\n These contributions have made and will continue to make such a difference in my classroom and I could not be more grateful.
