The students in my classes use the computer and printer every day. They print resource images for their drawings and paintings. They scan sketches and drawings that they need to save or use. They receive all their printed material, syllabi, assignment sheets, quizzes and tests, via the printer in my room, and students print their written homework for my class. Last year students used the scanner to create an animated film from images that they had drawn by hand. Students often scan drawings, then print them to try out color schemes in colored pencil on paper before committing paint to canvas. This is only a small sampling of the ways my students use the printer/scanner. My present printer is 12 years old, not working well, and needs to be replaced.
