My students and I started reading out our motivational posters every week to inspire each other in doing better in our classroom and at school. Creating such a positive and comfortable space for my small groups and my students truly makes a difference with their motivation in staying positive at school. Most of my students struggle with positivity and just having posters up as a reminder everyday, helps! \r\nI have even based some of the motivational posters like; \"progress not perfection\" and \"Be Kind Always\" -on social-emotional lessons that were needed to be implemented some weeks in my classroom! Some students were showing frustration with academics, so when I pointed to the poster \"Progress not perfection\" and explained what that meant, students were able to understand that as long as they were trying their best, they were doing it right!\r\nWe also had to do a kindness lesson one week as well and having the \"Be kind always\" poster creates a daily reminder for some students!\r\nNext steps are to continue using the posters to create a daily motivational mini lesson and remind students of these affirmations.","fullyFundedDate":1732233592224,"projectUrl":"project/inviting-classroom/8710714/","projectTitle":"Inviting Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nerissa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8047889_orig.jpg?crop=459,459,x138,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630878116129","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8047889"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36414","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":547,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":92,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.5,"schoolId":36414,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Central Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Central Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/escondido-union-elementary-school-district/central-elementary-school/36414"}
