Watching the tiny sprouts turn into strong seedlings has helped students understand the early stages of plant growth and the responsibility that comes with caring for living things.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to transplant the seedlings into the school garden so students can continue the growing process outdoors. Students will stay involved in caring for the plants and observing how they develop throughout the season. Small moments like that show how having these resources available can help students feel more confident and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to keep the care closet stocked and continue making it a normal part of our gym routine so students know they always have access to the basics they might need. When the equipment first arrived, students were immediately curious and excited to try it out. We set up the disc golf targets in the gym and students quickly began practicing their throws, working on accuracy and control as they aimed for the baskets. It has been wonderful to see students encourage each other and celebrate when someone lands a great shot.\r\n\r\nThe new ping pong paddles and balls have also been a big hit. Students love the fast-paced nature of the game and have been practicing their hand-eye coordination while learning the rules and strategies of table tennis. Many students had never played before, so it has been exciting to watch them develop new skills and confidence as they improve.\r\n\r\nStudents were thrilled when they first saw the new equipment. The gym was buzzing with excitement as they waited for their turn to try disc golf and ping pong. These new games have added variety to our physical education activities and have given students additional ways to stay active and engaged.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using this equipment, students will be practicing skills such as coordination, accuracy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. One of the most exciting moments for the class was working together to build and organize the shelving where our seedlings now grow. Watching the plants begin to sprout has been thrilling for them!\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was contagious.
