Knowing how much my students LOVE robots, I decided to purchase some smaller robots called Sphero Minis. I am lucky to have other robots in my classroom from the same company and my students love them, but they are a bit tricky to program. The Minis are a great in-between for students who are just learning to work with robotics. Using the Sphero app, students can practice \"driving\" the Minis before learning how to use the coding languages that create more specific movements. The little Minis are a huge hit! My students are eager to connect with them and make them move and light up!\r\n\r\nThe Merge Cubes have been an exciting way to become familiar with augmented reality with a variety of topics. There are a few different apps students can use to explore things like the human body, the solar system, and even life cycles. The best part is, that they are super durable and can withstand being dropped, tossed, and rolled! My fellow teachers have also enjoyed using them in their classrooms! I am so lucky to have so many wonderful and generous donors, and am so grateful to have this project fully funded!","fullyFundedDate":1717514955003,"projectUrl":"project/music-motion-merge-and-meta/8206498/","projectTitle":"Music, Motion, Merge, and Meta!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Patricco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2829385_orig.jpg?crop=1194,1194,x541,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1607567017275","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-patricco"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55656","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":631,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":7,"percentAsian":32,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":39,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.2,"schoolId":55656,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cedar Lane Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cedar Lane Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/delaware/appoquinimink-school-district/cedar-lane-elementary-school/55656"}
