Having them available was a goal of mine this year. Once connected with Numworks, I received training on features of the calculator, and learned that for trigonometry you can display what the graph of the angle looks like, which is helpful for visually showing what the sine, cosine, or tangent of an angle looks like.\r\nNot as many students chose to use them as I expected, probably because they were used to their traditional calculators, but those who tried them seemed to like them. Students are more motivated when the music is playing in the gym, and it has even caught the attention of other teachers and students who have asked about the speaker.\r\nHaving a speaker specifically for Physical Education not only boosts class motivation but also ensures clear, uninterrupted communication. When directions are given through the speaker, they are loud enough for the entire class to hear, no matter what activities are taking place in the gym.","fullyFundedDate":1739455227042,"projectUrl":"project/improving-physical-education-with-a-spea/9076533/","projectTitle":"Improving Physical Education with a Speaker for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7459849"},{"teacherId":8430368,"projectId":8306188,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation of sublimation materials for my HS Art Classroom! Thanks to your donations, my students now have access to fidget toys, a standing desk, and a cozy carpet for our couch area—resources that are already making a huge difference in our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in my students' eyes when they first saw the new additions was priceless! Many of them immediately gravitated toward the fidget toys, eager to try them out during independent work time. The standing desk has quickly become a favorite spot for students who focus better when they can move while they work. And our reading nook, now complete with a soft carpet, has become an inviting space where students love to curl up with a good book or engage in thoughtful discussions.\r\n\r\nOne particularly special moment happened during our recent group writing activity. A student who often struggles with staying engaged was able to focus much better while using a fidget toy. Another student, who usually prefers working alone, chose to join peers in the reading nook, feeling more comfortable in the cozy space. It's incredible to see how these small changes have fostered a more inclusive and productive classroom environment!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided not only materials but also a sense of excitement, comfort, and focus that will benefit my students for years to come.
