The infrared thermometers immediately sparked their curiosity—they loved being able to quickly measure the temperatures of different objects around the room. We'll soon be using the ice machine to create ice for experiments in our upcoming thermal energy unit, which will allow students to investigate how heat transfers between substances.\r\n\r\nThese new resources are already making our lessons more engaging and hands-on. Next, students will use the thermometers and ice to collect real data, analyze their results, and connect their findings to concepts about energy transfer.
