By adding these bouncy seats to our Behavior Management Team \"tool box\" we are giving teachers the opportunity to use them to help set students up for success that normally struggle to sit in a normal chair during class time due to fidgeting, anxiety or any other challenges that one may face that hinders their focus. \r\n\r\nWe have one kindergarten that for the last several weeks, we have tried many different interventions, including kick bands, none of which have been effective. The students still continued to get out of his seat, multiple times a day, rolling around in the floor and even wandering away from his desk the very first day introducing him to the new bouncy seat, not only did he stay in his area throughout the day during instruction time, but he also participated was more confident and focused! \r\n\r\nThank you so much to a very special donor who made this donors choose project possible!","fullyFundedDate":1739809304040,"projectUrl":"project/can-we-talk-about-movement/9117460/","projectTitle":"Can We Talk About Movement?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Daniels","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7467759_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597973981809","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7467759"},{"teacherId":7467759,"projectId":8976292,"letterContent":"I have been able to use the Books and the new material to help with classroom management across our campus. On behalf of our students and staff, I express our deepest gratitude for your generous support, which has profoundly impacted our learning environment and students' educational experiences.\r\n\r\nThe mini-whiteboards are one of the most transformative additions to our classrooms. These have become integral to our lessons, particularly in trivia activities and question-and-answer sessions. The whiteboards have turned everyday lessons into dynamic, interactive experiences. Students eagerly participate, writing down their answers, sharing their thoughts, and engaging with the material in a more hands-on way. This simple yet effective tool has fostered a collaborative spirit, boosted student confidence, and made learning enjoyable and memorable. The excitement and enthusiasm we see during these activities are truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nUsing headphones has been equally impactful, revolutionizing how our students engage with their studies. These headphones have provided a focused and immersive learning experience, allowing students to concentrate on educational videos, language lessons, and other auditory learning resources. They have also been instrumental in accommodating diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. The ability to block out distractions and fully engage with the content has significantly improved comprehension and retention, empowering our students to achieve their academic goals.\r\n\r\nYour support has made all of this possible. Thanks to your generosity, our students can access tools and resources that enhance their education and inspire them to reach for the stars. Your impact on their lives is immeasurable, and we are deeply thankful for your commitment to their growth and success.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your invaluable contributions. Your kindness and support have created a brighter, more hopeful future for our students, and for that, we are forever grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1707938915858,"projectUrl":"project/equipment-r-us/8213790/","projectTitle":"Equipment R Us","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bailey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9467790"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93864","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":120,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":58,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":32,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":67.8,"schoolId":93864,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thicksten Center for Learning on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Thicksten Center for Learning","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/arkansas-department-of-education/career-center/93864"}
