My students are not allowed to bring supplies to school. Often their supplies come out of my pocket since my school has a limited budget for supplies. I would like to bring more artwork to my English classes. Research shows combining art into any class allows the students to expand their learning. I want my students to draw and create their interpretations of the stories we read in class. Students who have difficulty writing essays can have the option of translating their learning by drawing. By having new markers and large post-it notes, my students will be able to display their art in the classroom. This will create a more engaging and personalized classroom. These supplies will make a great impact on their learning. Students will also be able to relax and de-stress by coloring. The post its will also be used for annotations in their textbooks as the students are not allowed to write on the pages.
