Due to COVID we are teaching under the most unique circumstances. It is my hopes to provide a safe and yet fun learning environment for my students. With masks being required all day, mask breaks will be very much needed. Having the flexibility to go outside for mask breaks gave me the idea to teach full lessons outside once a day, weather permitting. Portable chairs and clipboards will allow my class to move easily outside for lessons on nice days to get a break from wearing masks. We have a large pecan tree on our fenced playground that provides the best shade to catch a breeze right over our basketball courts for outside lessons. The students can be socially distanced well over six feet giving them the opportunity to be mask free while I teach our lessons outside.
