The kids were fired up unpacking the soccer balls, nets, mini footballs, cornhole sets, the football drone, and the parachutes. A lot of \"Coach, can we use this today?\" before we even finished unloading. Even some of our quieter kids were right in the middle of it, ready to go.\r\n\r\nWe've already put everything to work. The soccer balls and nets are part of our daily stations, the mini footballs keep everyone moving in small groups, and the cornhole sets have turned into competitive accuracy challenges. The drone was a huge hit — seeing the field from above helped the kids understand spacing and positioning in a way words can't always explain. The parachutes have been great for offseason conditioning while still keeping things fun.\r\n\r\nNext up, we're building on all of this with team-based drills and student-led games where they apply what they're learning about teamwork, communication, and effort. These resources didn't just add equipment — they added energy, confidence, and buy-in from the kids. We appreciate your support more than you know. Thank you for helping us give our students something special.","fullyFundedDate":1766501032832,"projectUrl":"project/level-up-engaging-students-through-pe-a/9932772/","projectTitle":"Level Up: Engaging Students Through PE and Football","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Widemon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9992619_orig.png?crop=287,287,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744048184566","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9992619"},{"teacherId":9992619,"projectId":9238760,"letterContent":"We are using the new equipment every day in both PE and Teen Leadership classes. In PE, students rotate through stations that focus on fitness, teamwork, and skill development, and the new resources have allowed us to keep every student moving and engaged instead of waiting their turn. In Teen Leadership, students are using the equipment to design and lead activities for their peers, practicing communication, organization, and accountability. One of my favorite moments was watching student leaders confidently run a full class workout they planned themselves, encouraging classmates and adjusting activities on the fly.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, their reaction was immediate excitement. They were eager to try everything and asked questions about how and when they could use it. Even students who are usually hesitant in PE were more willing to participate, simply because the equipment made activities feel new, fun, and inclusive. It created a positive energy that carried through the entire class period.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students involve continuing to build leadership and ownership. Teen Leadership students are currently working on creating full lesson plans and activity rotations using the equipment, while PE students are setting personal fitness goals and tracking their progress. Because of your generosity, our classroom has become a more active, engaging, and student-led environment. Thank you for giving our students opportunities to learn, lead, and enjoy being active every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1746787278798,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-building-leaders-one-turn-at-a/9238760/","projectTitle":"Game On: Building Leaders One Turn at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Widemon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9992619_orig.png?crop=287,287,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744048184566","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9992619"},{"teacherId":10161541,"projectId":9555335,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our Panthers Need Supplies for STEM project. Because of your generosity, our classroom now has the tools needed to bring STEM learning to life in a way that truly excites and empowers students.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, the students' reactions said it all — smiles, curiosity, and immediate engagement. They were eager to grab whiteboards to sketch ideas, use timers to manage experiments, and work together at easel pads to solve problems as a team. Even students who are usually quiet found themselves participating more, explaining their thinking, and confidently sharing ideas with classmates. These materials transformed our classroom into a space where collaboration and creativity happen naturally.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your support goes far beyond a single lesson. These tools will be used all year as students tackle engineering challenges, analyze data, and apply critical-thinking skills to real-world problems. Our long-term goal is to help students see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators, and future leaders in STEM fields — whether that path leads to engineering, healthcare, technology, or skilled trades. By removing barriers to hands-on learning, you are helping students build confidence and develop skills that will stay with them long after they leave our classroom.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity shows our students that people they've never met believe in them and their potential. That message is powerful and lasting.
