Your support has made a remarkable difference in the learning experiences of our students.\r\n\r\nWith the resources you provided, our students have been diving into the world of plants, seeds, and sustainability. They are learning about the importance of caring for the environment and the vital role plants play in our ecosystem. A specific highlight has been our ongoing project, where students are growing seeds and nurturing them into healthy plants. At the end of the year, we plan to sell these plants and donate the proceeds to a local charity, instilling in our students the value of community service and sustainability.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the materials, their excitement was palpable. They were thrilled to get started and have shown so much enthusiasm for the project. Your generosity has truly sparked their passion for horticulture, and we can see their growth both in knowledge and in their excitement for what's to come.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue growing the Horticulture Club year after year, and with your help, we have laid a strong foundation for this endeavor. The next steps for our students involve learning more about the process of growing and maintaining plants, furthering their understanding of sustainability, and continuing their efforts to raise money for a cause they care about.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your incredible support. You've helped inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, and we are so grateful for your contribution.","fullyFundedDate":1727462617480,"projectUrl":"project/growing-green-dreams-a-horticulture-gra/8574882/","projectTitle":"Growing Green Dreams: a Horticulture Grant for Mental Health","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wnek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9297368"},{"teacherId":9297375,"projectId":8574352,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding the purchase of equipment for my classroom that has allowed my students to actually get to plant seeds, care for them, and watch the fruits of their labors literally bloom! For my avid learners, who thrive on challenges and active learning, board games are an excellent tool to build teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking.\r\n\t2.\tFlexible Seating: The addition of flexible seating has transformed our classroom into a more dynamic and comfortable space. It allows students to choose a seating option that best suits their learning style, promoting focus and reducing stress. My students now have the freedom to find spaces that help them stay engaged, whether they're working independently or collaborating with their peers.\r\n\t3.\tPower Strips for Charging Computers: Access to power strips ensures that students' devices remain charged and ready to use throughout the day. This simple but essential tool eliminates disruptions caused by dead batteries, allowing students to stay fully engaged in their digital learning activities.\r\n\r\nEach of these items has played a role in creating a more engaging, supportive, and resource-rich environment for my students. As a teacher of execeptional students with emotional needs, I am always humbled to see my students excited about new materials (which often translates them to feeling excited about school!). In terms of positivity- the jellyfish tank and the fidget putty were both a huge hit right away! Second quarter can be very difficult in terms of maintaining calm in my setting and both items contributed to a peaceful classroom during some rough early winter weeks.\r\nMy favorite item that was sponsored was the classroom set of Outsmarting Worry books.
