The students know that the final step of editing is a final copy and final copies...if we are lucky enough, can be printed in color! \r\n\r\nSome students have chosen to insert their own photographs (from events, people in their family, etc.) while others have chosen to find those on the internet. We have even had students who want to make their own in Google drawing and then move them over! It has been incredible to watch their social skills blossom as they collaborate, practice sharing, and use new vocabulary to describe their creations.\r\nOne of my favorite moments was when a group of students worked together to \"bake\" a birthday cake for a classmate, complete with pretend candles and a happy birthday song. This play-based learning is building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and strengthening language development in ways that feel completely natural and fun.\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using this space to support early math skills like counting ingredients and measuring, as well as storytelling through role-play.
