Your contribution has helped my 100+ students navigate the tricky and slippery slope of lying. How can one lie change the lives of thousands? Can a lie do good or is it always bad. The world is not black and white, and addressing these grey-area questions helps my students to develop critical thinking and reading skills. \r\n\r\nReading stories—stories about individuals who don't have the opportunity to have a voice or have their stories shared—is the backbone of my classroom. Through this novel, my students are able to see four perspectives of a single event and develop empathy as well as a desire for justice.
