We have had so.much.fun with all our new items! And, of course, lots of learning has been had as well. The whiteboards have been such a great tool! We have used them for reading, writing, math, fun, and as you saw from the pictures, we have even used them to take our learning outside. The old whiteboards I had were very well used and never fully came clean and had some cracks from years of being well loved. The first several times the kiddos used these new boards they kept saying, \"But they're just so WHITE! They're soooo clean!\" They have kept my eager, little learners engaged and fully participating in lessons. \r\n\r\nThe magnetic cubes have been a way bigger hit than I could have predicted. The first week they arrived we were able to use them for some math patterning lessons and stations. A bonus I hadn't even thought of when I first asked for them! During our choice time/free play time, the kids have flocked to these. They have created buildings, towers, robots, cities, and are even using some of the ideas in the booklet that came with them. With the booklet they are sequencing, following directions, and increasing their spatial reasoning...such great life skills! \r\n\r\nThe clipboards have allowed us to take our learning outside multiple times, the building rocks have been so fun and a great addition to our STEM morning tubs, and the colorful Jenga blocks have been used for math counting and patterning, literacy phoneme segmentation, and just plain fun. Thank you for adding purposeful learning and fun to our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1755697970582,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-the-basics/9590055/","projectTitle":"Back to the Basics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3624680_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1493501592075","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3624680"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_19314","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":560,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":34,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":62,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.6,"schoolId":19314,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brown Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brown Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/brownsburg-community-school-district/brown-elementary-school/19314"}
