With the book character tokens we received with our box, we can hear stories read with sound effects, music, and fun voices. I chose book character tokens for favorite books or books I knew we'd read in class so that the kids can reread the books with the Tonies box on their own. Students independently choose a book character token, add it to the Tonie box and follow along with the story reading in a physical book. This has refined their concept of print, book handling, and fluency skills. They love choosing a book to hear in a whole new way!\r\n\r\nMy most favorite part about our new Tonie box is the excitement it brings to books and reading in our classroom. My goal as a kindergarten is to create lifelong readers and your donation to our project has ensured that my students are approaching books with enthusiasm and enjoyment.
