We eat lunch in our classroom, so this helped a lot with cleanup as well.\r\n\r\nLastly, my kids never went hungry in the afternoon. I had enough snacks for every child if needed. We received the \"What's Inside box\" which is a soft plush cube filled with soft objects. The idea is that they put there hand in and pull out an object. When the object is removed we spend time exploring it. Sometimes it's a frog that squeaks, or a lion made with textured material or little flower with a mirror on one side. Many of my students are non-verbal so I am providing them with the name of the object and a sound that can be used. For instance when the car gets pulled out I might say \"blue car beep beep\" as I am squeezing the car to make a squeaking noise. This toy has brought joy to all who have interacted with it. \r\n\r\nThe button box is the other toy we received. It is a round soft container with a bunch of plastic buttons ranging in a variety of sizes. This helps students grasp objects and teaches them to put them in a container or a slot. This is similar to a shape sorting toy but easier for students who are just not there yet. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for taking the time to find my project and your donation used to fund it.
