My students are an enthusiastic group of learners who never cease to amaze me. Many of them come to school with multiple issues affecting their lives but ALL of them come to school ready to put their best foot forward. My students come from less than desirable neighborhoods and, in my opinion, deserve the best educational setting to make up for their, sometimes, difficult home environments. I strive to provide them with the most motivating and up-to-date materials to keep them interested in learning. The school system has provided them with some of the necessary materials, but I have my own ideas about what is needed to excite third graders about learning. After all, I have taught in the inner city for 23 years and spent quite a bit of money (more than I care to admit) providing my students the most educationally sound materials. In my opinion, they deserve nothing but the best!
