They are the right size to facilitate group work, partner work, and all other types of cooperative learning that greatly benefits the students. We also love to go there since that cozy area helps foster the love of reading. Students love to present their writing there as well. The carpet itself has science and literacy connections, which the students refer to constantly. Because, the carpet is not bulky or oversized, I was able to add an additional table and seating, and this way facilitate activity pods throughout the classroom. \r\nThe students got very excited when they saw how I rearranged their classroom and added their new reading carpet!
