I teach at a new school, a new grade level and I love it, but I am having difficulties finding the resources and materials I need for a successful, thriving environment! There is so much that goes into making a successful room that is welcoming and creates an atmosphere that works for all students. I am always looking for ways to engage my students, create excitement and build a safe place to learn. My charter school is located less than ten miles away from one of the largest Army installations in the US and is less than 5 miles away from the US/Mexico border. I have students from a wide range of backgrounds whose parents chose to enroll them here for the amazing learning opportunities! However, we lack some extras to make these opportunities even better! My students are creative and full of life. I know that with the proper resources in their hands, their learning experience can be taken to a whole different level.
