My students have directly seen the impact of your generosity. They have told me, loud and clear, how much they appreciated having the classroom skeleton. Because we had access to this incredible resource students were able to physically manipulate the bones and study them, an experience that simply cannot be replicated by digital means.\r\nI have also seen them look in wonder at the slides that your donations have afforded us. Previously, our slides were old, faded and yellowed which made it incredibly difficult for students to identify structures that were barely visible. New slides have made all the difference for them and their understanding of cellular structures.\r\nAnd lastly, but absolutely not least, the access to paper has been an incredible help. With 180 students who are working on high level curriculum, being able to reliably provide them with worksheets and physical materials has helped so much. Reducing our reliance on digital formats has reduced distractions so significantly\r\nThank you so much for your help in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1760573627229,"projectUrl":"project/more-than-bare-bones-physiology-supplie/9784858/","projectTitle":"More than Bare Bones: Physiology Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Orellana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8224855_orig.jpg?crop=2232,2232,x0,y543&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1652722532584","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8224855"},{"teacherId":9256353,"projectId":9759292,"letterContent":"We are extremely grateful for your generous support to our program. That's nearly the size of both our varsity and junior varsity football teams combined!\r\n\r\nThe controllers have been a great boon to our program. In the past, we had extreme difficulty sharing controllers among students for our multiple competitions. Now we boast enough controllers for all to have their own during competition or casual play throughout the week. The kids are grateful for the experience and safe environment to be themselves.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the Switch 2 has been a great blessing to our Super Smash Bros. team for it's quicker loading times and frame rates during competitive match against other high schools. There's a high school student who comes multiple times a period from the English class next door after lunch, he's hungry and distracted, and snacks help him focus. There are three shy sixth grade girls who come by on their way to PE, and after several giggly attempts, are now able to enter the room and ask me if they might take a snack before they exercise. And then there are two eighth grade girls I've been working to establish a relationship with beyond the disciplinary one we already have, who now stop by for snacks, and we discuss the merits of Cheez-Its and Slim Jims. The other morning a parent I have only talked to on the phone pulled up to the drop off curb with a trunk full of water and snacks, saying she'd heard I have a snack station for the kids and she wanted to make sure it stayed stocked.
