As relationships grow, so does their willingness to learn and practice new skills.\r\nOne item in particular has become an absolute favorite among the students: the mirror designed to help children recognize and understand facial expressions. For students who struggle with identifying emotions in themselves or others, this tool has been incredibly beneficial. They enjoy practicing different expressions, comparing them to emotion cards, and discussing what those feelings might look like in real-life situations. It has quickly become one of the most requested and frequently used tools in my office, and it has helped make learning about emotions both accessible and enjoyable.\r\nWhat means the most is knowing that someone cared enough to invest in the emotional well-being of children they may never meet. I was able to print out new activities for them to work on to keep them motivated and engaged in learning new things. My scholars also love the activity where they can sound out words and build the words using the cubes. My scholars are so engaged in these activities and eager to work and participate in their learning.
