It has been so much fun to hatch our first round of chicks. We conducted the full scientific experiment with eggs from two farms. Students from my class each brought 6 eggs in to try to hatch. We were successful with the eggs and hatched 5 chicks. Students got to measure and hold them.We cared for them for two weeks then got to bring them to their farms. We plan to do this process two more times with store bought eggs and duck eggs too!\r\nThis has been so much fun for my students. They have not hesitated to learn the math that goes with the lessons. Students have been able to create teams and keep track of scores in brackets. \r\nThe scooter boards were a hit during indoor recess and when we did circuit training. When I told them about our new tables, they all offered to help! Now, my old students come in and feel a sense of pride when they see the tables they built, and the 3rd graders sitting at them feel like their older Bulldogs care about them and wanted to make something nice for them to enjoy!!
