We have plenty of snacks that will hopefully last us a couple of months as well as plenty of toys. \r\n\r\nIn my class, some students do not bring snacks to school and are often hungry and in order for them to learn properly they need to be fulfilled in those needs and the donation was able to help me help them. \r\n\r\nThe toys, puzzles, and building items have been very used every day and the students have made create creations with it all. My favorite part of what we got was all of the sensory items because they truly appreciate the calming aspect of it all. We use the white boards with the lines and space to draw almost everyday. I do a small group lesson or activity with the students to practice their writing. They sound out cvc words with me and write the word, then they can draw too. The also work on writing short sentences as well. \r\n\r\nStudents enjoy using the puzzles. They are on our shelves, during our Montessori block time students choose their work and many choose the puzzles. These puzzles help build their language skills. For example the rhyming words is part of the standards they need to work on. The pictures make it fun for students to use. Students also enjoy the string work, using their fine motor skills and practicing that pencil tripod grip. They work on the shapes/color sorting work as too. I have the BOB books in my class library, sometimes students chose a book and read it by themselves. It is so wonderful to see them being independent and choosing activities that help their learning. \r\n\r\nWe received so many items and I am so grateful that you would donate to my classroom. When I got the boxes full of items, the student were curious and wanted to see what was inside.
