My students were overwhelmed with joy when they saw all the supplies that we received. They were extremely grateful for all the pencils we received and the pencil parking lot chart we got. They were also super excited to try our new staplers and have raved so much about how easier these staplers have been to use compared to the old ones we have. My students absolutely love them! I have a few students who look forward to refilling the staplers with staples when they run out and who love keeping track of which pencils are missing from the pencil parking lot chart. \r\n\tMy students have been using the staplers we got to keep their classwork organized by stapling their worksheets inside their math notebooks. This has helped them keep track of their classwork so that they can refer to it when they take quizzes and/or are completing new classwork assignments. As a teacher I do a lot of color coding when I go over new concepts. My students love using the highlighters that were donated to us to help them color code their own work and follow along with the lesson. This is especially helpful for my students with Individualized Education Plans and my English language learners. The pencil parking lot chart and pencils that were donated to my classroom have been amazing! Each of my students has a class number that they use throughout the period every day to help them stay organized and know which supplies belong to them. Every day when students come into class if they need a pencil they grab the pencil that is in their class number slot and they return it at the end of the period. My students are extremely grateful that they always have a pencil now when they come to class. Lastly, the expo markers that were donated to us have helped us a lot during group work. We do a lot of small groups in my classes and they students have loved using the markers to show their math work on small white boards and or to write messages for the class on our wall white boards. \r\nMy students have learned valuable organizational skills with all the supplies that were donated to us. They have also learned to appreciate the supplies that we have and to be thank full for what we have. I know that these skills will help them in the future, and they will appreciate you all for your kind donations. I hope you enjoy the thank you cards my students made you all. They had such a great time making them and using the markers that were donated to us in the process. They are truly grateful for your kindness and all the supplies you donated to our classroom.
