My middle school students live in an inner city neighborhood in southern California. They are mostly students of color. They come from low income families. They are all Special Ed students with mild to moderate disabilities. Some are dyslexic, others have delays in auditory processing or Autism. They are as bright as other students but they learn differently. They learn by touching and doing so they love lab science and work hard in my room. Most of my students do not have Internet access at home. They are always amazed by what they can see online. They are proud of what they create on the Macs.
