The tent has been a great addition and allows my students a safe place to go where they can 'hide'. \r\n\r\nMy students also like using the 'kick' bands for on their chairs. It gives them a way to move without being super distractive. They have also utilized the puzzle stress ball and the noise cancelling headphones. The 10-sided dice are used frequently during our math games to help students who are ready for a challenge. We just started our math unit on comparing numbers and students were so excited to see our Numberblocks balancing/comparing center! We used it whole group to explain the concept of comparing numbers. Students were so excited to take turns comparing and visually see that a number was bigger or smaller and see the mouth of the Numberblock character move to match. It was very engaging and is now a student favorite! \r\nOur visualizer timer helps students transition from one activity to another. One of our leadership roles is to set the timer and turn it off when needed and students enjoy being self-starters. The document camera is used throughout our day to help students visualize the projects and activities we are working on. Students also enjoy using the document camera to display their own work to the class and read aloud stories together. \r\nThese new materials help our day run smoothly and efficiently. Students take pride in our new materials and are excited to use them!
