These magazines have had a tremendously positive impact on my students, not only by increasing their engagement with reading but also by strengthening their overall literacy skills.\r\n One of the most noticeable changes has been the excitement and enthusiasm the students show when the magazines arrive. They are eager to explore the articles, discuss the topics with their classmates, and share interesting facts and ideas they have learned. The engaging, age-appropriate content has helped make reading feel meaningful and relevant to them. Scholastic News has also been a wonderful tool for expanding my students' vocabulary. As they encounter new words within interesting and informative articles, they are able to learn vocabulary in context and practice using those words in discussions and written responses. This has helped build their confidence as readers and communicators.\r\nThe magazines have provided valuable opportunities to develop comprehension skills. Students practice identifying main ideas and supporting details, making connections, determining meaning from context, and thinking critically about what they read. \r\n Because the topics are connected to real-world events and issues, students are motivated to read closely and demonstrate their understanding.\r\nAnother meaningful benefit is that Scholastic News helps my students stay informed about current events and the world around them. It gives them opportunities to learn about people, places, science, history, and important events beyond our classroom. These conversations often extend into other areas of learning and encourage students to ask questions and become curious about the world.\r\n Most importantly, Scholastic News has made a positive difference in my students' literacy development. It has encouraged them to read more, talk more about what they are learning, and approach informational text with greater confidence and interest.\r\nI am truly thankful for the support that makes it possible to bring these magazines into my classroom. Providing students with engaging, meaningful reading materials is an investment in their learning, and I have seen firsthand how valuable this resource has been for my students.
