The headphones allow students to fully engage with their i-Ready and IXL lessons without distractions, giving them access to instructional videos and interactive supports that help break down reading barriers and make math concepts clearer. This technology allows each student to learn at their own pace and level, ensuring they receive the individualized support they need to grow. The headphone organizer has also been a wonderful addition—keeping our materials neat, accessible, and ready for learning every day.\r\n\r\nThe binders have been just as impactful, helping students stay organized across all their core subjects—ELA, math, science, and social studies. For many of my students, learning how to manage their materials has built a stronger sense of independence and responsibility. One student in particular, who often struggled to keep track of assignments, now proudly shows off how each section of their binder is labeled and complete. Another student shared that having their own set of headphones helps them focus and feel more confident during lessons. These simple tools have empowered my students to take ownership of their learning and feel more capable and motivated in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757423307561,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-materials/9685828/","projectTitle":"Classroom Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schiebel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10242866"},{"teacherId":9934919,"projectId":9367755,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our diverse books project. Your donations have made a real impact on our students and our classroom community.\r\nMany of you love to read (we do, too!) but may not realize how much these new books have transformed the way we teach reading. The stories you helped bring into our room have introduced lessons in empathy, identity, and perspective-taking. Students are learning to think critically about how authors use language, whose voices are being heard, and how literature connects to their own lives and cultures.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading looks active and collaborative. Students read independently and in small groups, annotate with curiosity, and share their reflections during discussions. We pause often to talk about big ideas — like belonging, justice, and representation — and students are eager to share how the books make them feel seen.\r\nSome of the biggest reading breakthroughs this year have come from these new additions. \r\n\r\nOne student who rarely engaged with novels was hooked by American Born Chinese, calling it \"the first book I've ever finished and liked.\" Another shared that The Best We Could Do reminded her of her own family's immigration story. These books are doing more than filling shelves — they're building confidence, community, and connection.\r\nThank you for helping make that possible. You've given our students stories that reflect who they are and who they can become.","fullyFundedDate":1747705502168,"projectUrl":"project/our-world-in-words/9367755/","projectTitle":"Our World in Words","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Armitage","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9934919_orig.jpg?crop=4010,4010,x1022,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741030891464","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msgarmitage"},{"teacherId":9845222,"projectId":8960462,"letterContent":"Thank you for your contribution to the restoration room at my school! These calculators are able to help them continue to grow their learning, without them feeling as if they are many years behind where they should be. \r\n\r\nNot only do they provide access to those below grade level, but they provide extension work for those who are above grade level. Some of the visuals I've created for my students this year are a large visual schedule, a daily agenda, and posters that both contain reminders as well as help motivate. All of those have been great, but probably the biggest impact for students is the vocabulary cards I have created for each unit that include additional explanations, examples, or models. At the end of each unit, some of these cards get moved over to the ongoing vocabulary wall we're building as the regular vocab board is cleared for the next unit and we start building again.\r\n\r\nIt takes a lot of time to create, print, organize, and post all the vocabulary and sometimes you wonder if the time you invested is worth it. Once I observed students walking up and taking down individual vocab cards and taking them back to their seats, I knew it was. Students have been taking cards and adding them to their notes, coping the visual model into their math glossary, or just going up to review the card and clarify their understanding. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting my student's learning and my classroom by helping me continue to provide great visuals for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1731526875317,"projectUrl":"project/amazing-visual-displays-for-my-math-al/8857335/","projectTitle":"Amazing Visual Displays for My Math & Algebra Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Meland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6594723_orig.jpg?crop=1737,1737,x331,y185&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725326448772","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6594723"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_37205","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":752,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":27,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":59,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"18.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.3,"schoolId":37205,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Badger Ridge Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Badger Ridge Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/verona-area-school-district/badger-ridge-middle-school/37205"}
