My scholars are an awesome bunch of incoming 5th graders. This year has been a tough transition for them. Many of them did not receive in-person instruction due to covid. There was a lot of stress. I've built a relationship with most of them and have been a place of solace for them. I can't wait to see the joy on their faces when they see me as their teacher. I serve primarily underserved black and brown scholars in an innovative charter school. My leader's commitment to educating our most vulnerable population fills me with so much hope. I want to do my part to see his dream come to fruition. My team teacher and I will work together to serve two eager groups of 5th graders preparing for their next destination in their educational endeavor.
