Their excitement was contagious and they couldn't wait to dive into the adventures of their favorite characters. They love them so much that I have to do a daily raffle to see who will get to read them during independent reading time. The books have motivated many students to read more, which is really awesome to see. Encouraging a love for reading is so important and your gift is playing a big role in that. \r\n\r\nThe pencils and water bottles have also been incredibly helpful. My students have been enjoying all the books. With these new books, I have seen so many of my students get even more motivated to read every day. \r\n\r\nThe books we generously received have helped all my students, whether they are looking for the next challenge in a chapter book or they are learning how to read more independently. Since some of the books are also bilingual, my students who can read in two languages have shown so much excitement to see their home language represented in the classroom. \r\n\r\nWe do not have a school library, but we have a classroom library. Everyday we have a dedicated 20 minutes where students can quietly read any books they want that they chose from our classroom library. The book donations have been all the rave and students even take turns to be able to read them.
