The new resources have been a game-changer for my students, especially those with ASD. When they first saw the sensory items such as the lights, wave multicolor lamps, and light boxes, their faces lit up with excitement. The sensory lights are perfect for calming down during overstimulation, and the wave lamp has quickly become a favorite tool during quiet time, creating a peaceful atmosphere that helps them focus and relax.\r\n\r\nOne specific project we've started involves using the light boxes with letters and numbers. My students are exploring early literacy and numeracy skills by arranging the letters and numbers on the light boxes, creating visual patterns and connecting the symbols and their meanings. It's amazing to see how they engage with these materials creatively!\r\n\r\nThe next step is to continue building their skills through more interactive activities, using the sensory tools to reinforce learning in a calm, structured way. These materials have opened up new pathways for my students to learn, express themselves, and feel comfortable in their learning environment. Recently, we utilized the Flash Furniture Emmy Activity Table for our break space, which encouraged social-emotional learning among students and a place where they could sit and regulate. Their excitement was palpable when they first saw the new materials, especially the colorful Flagship Carpets Rainbow Smileys rug. This rug quickly became a beloved dance spot, creating a fun space that fostered engagement and fun.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to use the Seville Classics Organizer Cart and the 3-Tier Rolling Mobile Utility Cart to streamline our group projects, ensuring that materials are easily accessible for all students and a place where our team members can complete and prep academic work for our students.
