This was such a great experience for the class. As other grade levels at our school collected items for the unhoused, my students wanted to help the animals that are unhoused. We wrote this project to help those animals that have not found their forever home yet. \r\nOur class was so excited to receive the items from DonorsChoose to help bring their project to life. The students were so excited to receive items to help animals. When we dropped off the items at the Humane Society, we had some students meet us there to be part of the delivery. The helpers at the Humane Society were so thankful and appreciative of the students thinking of the animals. This was such an impactful project. I am sure that this will help students realize how much a difference they have made in the world. As one student said, \"We need to be sure to help those who cannot speak for themselves.\" Thank you again. This was a project that I did not tell them about. They were so happy to have their own numbered rack hook to place their jackets and backpacks on. Some students teamed up and made a bigger wall. They were all so excited when I gave them baggies to take the sugar cubes home with their chopsticks.
