The new headphones have been a game-changer for my classroom, especially for independent learning activities. We've been using them during math, science, reading and language arts lessons, where students listen to audiobooks or language practice exercises that reinforce their learning. One of the standout moments was during a recent independent reading session, where students were able to choose from a wide variety of audio resources based on their reading level and interests. The headphones allowed them to immerse themselves in these resources without distractions, creating a focused and personalized learning experience.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new headphones, they were excited and curious. Many of them commented on how \"cool\" they looked, and some even tried them out right away to test the sound quality. It was clear that they felt empowered by the ability to engage with their lessons in a more individualized way. Some students mentioned how it helped them concentrate better, especially when listening to audiobooks or language learning content. It was a small but noticeable shift in their engagement levels.\r\n\r\nIn the coming weeks, we're planning to use the headphones for a project where students will listen to and analyze different audio clips—whether it's interviews, podcasts, or stories—related to our current unit on media literacy. They'll practice skills like active listening, summarizing, and identifying key details. Afterward, they'll reflect on what they learned through a class discussion or written response. The headphones will also allow for quieter, more focused individual work as they continue to build their comprehension and listening skills. I'm excited to see how they apply their new audio skills to future projects!","fullyFundedDate":1738004197871,"projectUrl":"project/please-help-my-amazing-students-succeed/9079712/","projectTitle":"Please help my amazing students succeed this school year!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kalinovski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9907318"},{"teacherId":9684945,"projectId":8670483,"letterContent":"My first graders are growing by leaps and bounds with the supplies that we have received. We are honored to have such special donors that donated white boards; dry erase markers; dry erasers; scissors and other materials. The students have been able to stay engaged and use the resources which enable for differentiation during instruction time. \r\n\r\nThey were excited to learn that there was a community that could love them without knowing them and support them to meet their needs. The students take pride in having their own plastic bins to house their personal belongings. \r\n\r\nStudents have developed their fine motor skills while cutting out documentation to support new knowledge on Math skills and ELA skills.
