They love having their own, individual whiteboards that are shiny, new and undamaged. The lined side of the whiteboards helps guide them and I have noticed an improvement in penmanship across the board (pun intended).\r\n\r\nI am really enjoying the new Flair pens which I use during lessons on the document camera. I have found that pencil is difficult for students to see at times for my students. It gets used daily, mostly by someone who is overwhelmed by the activity in the rest of the room. It's a great place to play quietly, intentionally with a friend or by yourself. I rotate items in the 2 sides of the table so multiple students can use it at once. It currently has monkeys in one side and a gravity stem activity in the other. \r\n\r\nThe magnetic center also serves as a divider between my library and block area. It's very handy for moving around the room! I love a convertible piece of furniture! This piece of furniture has been on my wishlist ever since I moved districts and yet not one I can acquire on my own. I appreciate Donors Choose to provide for my classroom what I cannot realistically get for myself. They were very excited to get their hands on the nice, thick, quality watercolor paper. They have already done several winter projects that came out beautifully. The Winter Game Activity Coloring books were also a big hit. Some students took them home to enjoy them over Winter Break and some are saving pages to do in their desks when they have some choice activity time. The Play-Doh saved this teacher's sanity when we had several rainy days in a row and had to stay indoors. The students LOVED it because indoor recess is fun with Play-Doh! Our set of Tekfun LCD Writing tablets have really helped keep students engaged during small groups and they look forward to working with them.
