We've spent our mornings reading a variety of new literature and our afternoons creating some amazing art with our new materials. \r\n\r\nMy favorite moment of the year has been a student that I will refer to as Placeholder to keep them anonymous. Placeholder is a student that has always been capable of reading, but has yet to fall in love with it. He shared with me that while on a train to visit family in Seattle, he fell in love with reading due to the Harry Potter series. He now reads every night and can't wait to read more!
