Students can engage with interactive lessons, complete research efficiently, and receive immediate feedback through digital platforms. The technology supports diverse learning styles—visual, auditory, and hands-on—while also giving students the ability to work at their own pace. For students who need accommodations, features like speech-to-text, translation tools, and extended-time digital environments make academic tasks more manageable and help close learning gaps.\r\n\r\nStudents are especially excited about the increased independence that the laptops give them. They appreciate being able to organize their work digitally, collaborate with classmates in real time, and access creative tools for presentations, videos, and projects. Many enjoy the sense of ownership and responsibility that comes with having their own device, and they're motivated by the freedom to explore resources and software that enrich what they learn in class.\r\nStudents who previously struggled with organization or staying on task have adapted especially well—they rely on digital reminders, calendars, and structured platforms that break assignments into manageable steps. English language learners have also shown notable improvement, using translation extensions and reading supports to increase comprehension and confidence. Additionally, students with IEPs or 504 plans often report that accessibility features—such as text-to-speech, enlarged text, or quiet independent digital work—help them keep pace with their peers and feel more successful academically.","fullyFundedDate":1755697729833,"projectUrl":"project/diverse-learners-post-secondary-opportun/9585500/","projectTitle":"Diverse Learners Post-Secondary Opportunities (Part I)","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lane","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2122038_orig.jpg?crop=1125,1125,x0,y153&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1626981975111","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-lane-ahs"},{"teacherId":9685678,"projectId":9604909,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for your set, costume, and prop contributions to our show! I want to thank you personally for your kind donation and will pay this forward by donating to a project from my alma mater.\r\nI am so pleased at my students reactions when we first used our own individual white boards. All students participated and the room lit up with excitement. I had some questions projected on the board. I was standing in front of the questions and would turn and ask one at a time. As students became more comfortable with the white boards, they began reading the next question before I could get to it. So at one point when I turned towards the board to ask the question and then turned back, every student already had their boards raised up with the answers. It was so funny and exciting to turn around and see all the students proudly displaying their answers, knowing they were surprising me!\r\nThe whiteboards are doing their job of allowing students to freely write their answers and be able to quickly erase wrong answers and try again! Students really tried as I would quickly point out mistakes and they had to figure out how to correct them. Every student tried and that is the main point, they enjoyed putting in the effort and smiled when they finally wrote the correct answer, they did not seem as frustrated as usual.\r\nI cannot use the whiteboards all the time because I know the excitement will wane, but using them every so often will remind them that mistakes are common and correcting them for understanding is what learning it all about. \r\nThank you, this is just what the doctor ordered !!","fullyFundedDate":1755733853844,"projectUrl":"project/make-more-mistakes-in-math/9627684/","projectTitle":"Make More Mistakes in Math!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Skintges","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9702070"},{"teacherId":2987105,"projectId":9321810,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your generous donation!
