It is no small action you take AND it makes a BIG difference in my art studio classroom. \r\n\r\nWe have had numerous shrinky dink gatherings! Art club has worked with them a few times and loved it! (I forgot to take photos since I was working the toaster oven!) and now the track kids come in after school to make charms for their cleats before each meet!\r\nWe have used them in Art 2 and will use them in a Art 1 closer to the end of the year. \r\n\r\nThe toaster is perfect with it's little tray and the amount of sheets we were able to get will go far! The PrismaColor pencils are really great for blending designs AND have been used by students in my advanced art portfolio class too! I am trying to keep them locked away just for the shrinky dinks, but student artist LOVE Prismacolors' quality! I think I need to get more through another DonorsChoose project! These handy paint sticks have been really fun in the studio for quick work that doesn't require getting set up with water and brushes. Students can work spontaniously on their artwork without needing painting skills. We have found that the Ooly Chunkies paint sticks work on many surfaces too, making it a great media for mixed media studio time; students have used them on cardboard, collaged surface, and any paper or canvas. \r\n\r\nI appreciate your generosity as these specialty products don't make it into the basic school materials order. Being able to offer a student something unique makes them feel lifted and motivates them when they are stuck or struggling with technique; this frees them up: \"Get loose! The students were so excited to try out the press. We already had a printer and tote bags, so the students got right to chatting about possible design ideas and how they would look on the bag. Previously, we had to use a small iron to try to get the designs printed and it did not work well. The students said they felt like they were working in an actual custom clothing store with this press.
