You are doing a good thing. The kids in my classroom are good kids who want to do well. Unfortunately, they don't always get the things that they need to do well. Your donation will help me to give them some of the things that teachers in other schools and in better economic times can give their students without any difficulty. When the economy struggles, so does the tax base. Urban schools, which have been chronically under-funded are struggling even more than usual. There is simply no money for any "extras" this year. Your donation will do a little bit to help alleviate the impact of austerity budgeting and even the playing field a bit for these very deserving students. Thank you for your time and your generosity. We appreciate you taking an interest in our school!
