Your support has made it possible for every student to actively participate in our end-of-year novel study, and the impact has been truly meaningful. The students have been highly engaged in the story and are participating in thoughtful classroom discussions each day. Today, for example, students worked together to compare and contrast the different settings in the novel, using evidence from the text and collaborating in small groups to answer comprehension questions.\r\n\r\nAs an inclusion teacher, I work with several students who currently read on a 3rd–5th-grade level. Because of this, I often read the novel aloud while students follow along in their own copies. Recently, however, something wonderful has started happening: students have begun volunteering to read aloud. One student in particular, who struggles the most with reading confidence, volunteered to read to the class and did an amazing job. It was such a proud moment for both the student and our classroom community. Having access to these novels has helped create an environment where students feel included, supported, and excited to participate. Thank you so much for bringing this unit to life for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1778226191175,"projectUrl":"project/starving-for-novels-sets-in-ela-hunger/10169205/","projectTitle":"Starving for Novels Sets in Ela!
